Summer Research Fellow – US Law & Policy

Josh Waldman is a Knight Hennessy Scholar and J.D. Candidate at Stanford. Josh plans to use his legal education in and outside of government to make the American economy fairer and more dynamic. He served from 2021 to 2024 in the White House as an economic policy advisor focused on implementing the American Rescue Plan, the government's fiscal response designed to strengthen the U.S. recovery from Covid. He also worked to develop policies to support the transition to electric vehicles and supported the Biden Administration's engagement with the Detroit Three and the UAW contract negotiations. He received a bachelor’s degree in history from Brown University.
