We offer a variety of services to help improve the quality of AI law and policy. If you work in these areas, our expertise in US and international law can help make your work more informed, concrete, and feasible in the face of rapid political and technological change.

Examples of services we can provide include:

• Drafting model legislation and regulation to transform policy wishlists into clear, administrable, and legally sound legislative and regulatory text.
• Reviewing proposed policy to quickly identify legal challenges, ambiguities, and loopholes and recommend concrete ways to fix them.
• Briefing legislative staff on discrete legal questions.

Note that we cannot accept all projects.

We choose projects based on their alignment with our organizational mission and competencies. Right now, we are most interested in advising related to our research workstreams, drafting assistance, and emergency responses.

Examples of projects we recently accepted include:

• Reviewing and editing AI bills at the state and federal level
• Drafting memos that identify mechanisms to quickly and frequently update AI regulations
• Briefing think tanks and legislative staff on existing statutory authorities for AI oversight.

Our consulting staff is expert in the law and policy of advanced AI. We specialize in offering concrete and clearly communicated policy analysis that is responsive to your policy goals and accounts for changing political and technological circumstances. 

We also offer emergency consulting services for clients with time-sensitive projects.

This means that, while we can answer general questions about the law in the course of providing research and consulting services, we do not offer specific advice about the law tailored to the particular circumstances of individual clients. The scope of the research and consulting services we can provide may vary by jurisdiction.
