Summer Research Fellow – EU Law

Maarten Herbosch is an assistant professor of AI and Law at KU Leuven. His research focuses on the interaction between specific AI regulation and the traditional legal framework, as well as the broader normative desirability of such regulation. Maarten holds Master’s degrees in Physics (2016) and Law (2019) from KU Leuven, and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (2024). He obtained his Ph.D. in Law from KU Leuven in 2023 for research on the use of AI systems in contract formation, supported by the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO).
