Summer Research Fellow – EU Law

Daan van der Neut is a legal and public policy professional specializing in digital governance and emerging technologies. He currently serves as Team Lead for the Netherlands Digitisation Strategy at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. His expertise spans EU digital regulation, AI governance, and public sector modernization, developed through prior roles in The Hague, Brussels, and the Dutch Caribbean. Daan holds an MSc in Political Economy from the University of Amsterdam and graduated cum laude with an LLM in Internet Law from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. As a Summer Research Fellow at LawAI, his research focuses on the adaptability of legal regimes to advanced AI systems.
