Madalina Nicolai

Madalina is a researcher focused on the regulation of frontier AI models under the EU AI Act. She brings experience in EU digital policy from her work in Brussels, including roles at a public affairs consultancy and in the public policy team of a semiconductor company. She also has prior experience in brand protection and IP enforcement. Madalina recently deepened her focus on frontier AI governance as a Winter Fellow at the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI). She holds an LLB in International and European Law from the University of Groningen and an LLM from the University of Cambridge.
