Martin is a Research Scholar at LawAI. His research focuses on U.S. law and policy regarding AI governance. Prior to joining LawAI, he was an associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, and served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Diane S. Sykes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Martin graduated from Stanford Law School, where he was a research assistant for Professors Mitch Polinsky and Douglas Melamed and a participant in the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. He received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Pomona College, after which he served as a research assistant at the Federal Reserve Board in D.C.
