Yonathan A. Arbel is a Senior Research Affiliate at LawAI and the William Alfred Rose Professor of Law at the University of Alabama School of Law, where he directs the AI Legal Studies Initiative. He also co-directs the Center for Law & AI Risk. His research examines how law should structure, identify, and govern advanced AI systems, with particular attention to AI agents, legal interpretation, liability, adjudication, and private-law institutions. Professor Arbel earned his doctoral degree (SJD) from Harvard Law School.
